"I am delighted to be participating in this celebration of your achievement in gaining a Master's degree from the University of Leicester. To have gained such a qualification from one of the UK's leading Universities is a significant achievement. One of the hallmarks of all Leicester graduates is that they cannot graduate without a considerable amount of independent study but those who complete their degrees via the distance learning route need to have this quality in abundance and you can be justiably very proud of the degree you have earned....."

"The award of your degree is more than the receipt of a piece of paper. It is a testimony to your hard work, motivation and determination to succeed. Studying at Master's level is challenging but to have done so by distance learning signals that you have added special qualities: commitment, dedication and the ability to manage a busy and often competing schedule. Your degree is also a symbol of the new direction that your career might take. The learning and new knowledge that you have gained will enable you to realise your newly created potential. It is the passport to join the high flyers." "You are now positioned to develop new ideas for your organisation, to facilitate change, develop strategies, improve operations and create new products and services. Through your newly acquired knowledge you are now better positioned to add value to your organisation....."
